Poster Girl.

Last Wednesday, we watched the documentary "Poster Girl" in media class. This documentary depicted the life of a recent veteran of the war, named Robyn in the most astounding way possible. To be completely honest, I never really pictured women in the war before watching this film. It seems to me to be out of nature for a woman to be a part of something so horrible, but this film gave me a greater understanding. It was clear to me that Robyn had PDSD, even before we found out in the film. Hearing her stories hit me straight in the heart and really changed my perspective on women in the war. The overall direction of the film was impressive and so hard-hitting that I was almost in tears by the end. I believe that everyone should see a movie like this, because it gives you the truth about what people don't like to talk about. I've always had the most respect for veterans of the war, but after realizing what I did, I have that same respect but also a new found knowledge. In my opinion, it was not only strongly filmed but also had the perfect proof of her being in the war. The videos and photos were what made me feel so deeply towards Robyn, just because it sort of put me there with her, feeling what she felt.
